Overview
Canton played a pivotal role in the formation of the National Football League in 1920. The Canton Bulldogs were one of the original teams and won consecutive championships in 1922 and 1923. In recognition of this legacy, Canton was selected as the home for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which opened in 1963.
