Downtown Canton Arts District

The Downtown Canton Arts District has transformed the city's core into a thriving cultural hub. This 12-block area is home to dozens of galleries, studios, specialty shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues, creating a vibrant urban experience.

First Friday

On the first Friday of each month, the arts district comes alive with special events, gallery openings, live music, street performances, and more. From 5pm to 10pm, visitors can explore the district while enjoying themed activities, demonstrations by local artists, and special promotions at shops and restaurants. The event draws thousands of visitors year-round.

Key Attractions

Canton Museum of Art

Located within the Cultural Center for the Arts, the Canton Museum of Art showcases American watercolors and contemporary ceramics, along with changing exhibitions from around the world.

The Auricle

This live music venue features local and touring bands across multiple genres, with performances most weekends.

The Galleries at Lynda Tuttle's Art Center

These galleries exhibit works by more than 45 artists, primarily from Northeast Ohio, and offer classes and workshops for various art forms.

Little Art Gallery

Part of the North Canton Public Library, this intimate gallery has been showcasing the work of local, regional, and national artists since 1930.

Public Art
